Great Pedometer
This pedometer is accurate and stays on your belt or clothes so easily. Many peds fall off when you bend over and this is the only one I have found that stays were you put it. Along with the ability to tell you have many calories burned it is so accurate in counting steps. I highly recommend!

A little better pedometer....
After approximately 16 months, my highly rated Omron pedometer was deemed unworthy to repair by the Omron representative. They stated that the pedometers generally last one to two years. Thinking I would just get another, I hesitated and then I saw the Accusplit recommended in one of my magazines.
Comparison:
The Accusplit has more features-steps, aerobic steps, distance and calories, than my Omron HJ-112.
Accusplit also has a cover to protect the screen.
Accusplit attached easily and more securely.
My Omron used to pop off quite often and it did take a great deal of abuse but the Accusplit seems more stable, compact and more easily readable. The Omron does have a seven day memory base of steps, aerobic steps and a clock face.
Averaging at least 3 miles each day, aerobic and hill walking, plus regular walking, I attempted to set the step stride as best I could. In both pedometers, this is very difficult and stride varies with speed, intensity, plus everyday walking about.
So I set my average stride to my most physical endeavors to get a base count of my activity.
If the Accusplit holds up at least as long as the Omron, I would recommend the Accusplit all in all. I will update this review as the time nears Omron's 14 month demise.
BTW Accusplit is warranted for 1 year, free of charge, just like the Omron.
Unlike the Omron, it extends this warranty to five years with a 12 dollar service charge. Think most people might elect to replace their pedometer as they are not very expensive.

Frustrating & Not Accurate
So far, 3 adults have tried setting this up using their directions. One finally got it to reset. We've tried it several times, counting our steps & then comparing with the Accusplit - no agreement.

Accusplit AE170 Pedometer
I am very happy with my pedometer. It appears to be very accurate. It was not too difficult to calibrate. Clip on is somewhat difficult to put on beltline, but so far not other problems. I am very satisfied.

Easy to use
I purchased my pedometer a few weeks ago and it was easy to set up and use. It seems accurate and I like the additional clip for keeping it secure on my waistband. My only inconvenience is that it's slow to respond when I want to reset it.
