Not Durable!
This toy has already fallen apart and we gave it to our son yesterday, it is made of strofoam. His legs and 1 arm has fallen off. He loves the toy but by this time next week we may just have buzz's head left. He flies okay.... not worth the money.

Not worth the $
I found this on clearance at a local department store for under and snatched it up thinking it was a good bargain. The toy advertises itself as being able to fly a total of 300 feet, which is true as long as you throw it about 20 times. 95% of the time Buzz will go up and down and crash hard into the ground within a few seconds. Occasionally you can get a good throw in and watch him sail for a good distance, but by that time you'll be so frustrated with the toy it will hardly be worth it.

Love the idea of a flying Buzz Lightyear, but this toy is a disappointment
My family and I are big fans of the Toy Story films, so when we spotted this flying Buzz Lightyear, we snapped it up. We followed the instructions and waited for a day without wind, then took Buzz out for a flight on a full-size football field. The pros: (1) Buzz charges fast -- attach him to the charger for ten seconds and he's ready to rock; (2) He looks great when he's in the air. The cons: (1) The trick is getting him to stay in the air. Despite carefully following the instructions, we were only able to get one long flight out of him. Most of the time, he crashed within 10 seconds of launch. The way it works is, you charge him, then remove him from the base. His propellers (one located on each wing) spin and you throw him like a paper airplane. 90% of the time, he quickly crashed; (2) Buzz is fragile. He's made from styrofoam and his wings bend easily. If they bend, the instructions note that he won't fly well. We're speaking from experience when we say, this is true; (3) Buzz hurts. If the plastic propellers brush your fingers when you launch him, OUCH! My 9-year-old daughter got clipped a few times when she threw him. The propellers didn't break the skin, but she quickly decided that she wanted nothing more to do with the toy. The fact that we couldn't get him to stay in the air probably contributed to this outcome. Overall, Buzz was a major disappointment. We did get one long, sensational flight out of him (he flew from one end of the 100-yard football field to the other, hence the two star rating instead of one star), but this was hardly sufficient given that we tried to fly him for over an hour. It's possible a gifted paper-airplane-flying adult will do well with him, but the rest of us -- particularly parents -- should stir clear.
