Unreliable
I wore this nonstop for 3 days when I first got it, and here's what I learned:

Pros:
- easy to set up
- clip keeps it secure
- small size makes it very portable

Cons:
- can be tricked into counting more steps if you are wearing it on the strap of a tank top for instance, and you bend down to pick up items, clean, and so forth. The swinging motion will make it count steps even though you are not in fact walking.
- cannot be worn in a pocket because it won't count correctly. It needs the swinging movement to count.
- it needs to be exposed and free to move, which means you cannot wear a cross-body bag on the same side as you have it swinging by your pocket or belt, because if the swinging motion is prevented in any way it won't correctly keep track of your steps.

In other words: it is unreliable, which means that the small size, albeit ideal to carry it around, is also somewhat pointless.

I would NOT recommend this.

Small. Easy to use. Just works
I've never owned a pedometer before, but this is a great product. It is incredibly easy to use (only three buttons), and keeps track of the number of steps taken, calories burned, grams of fat burned, and miles walked in the past 7 days. The display falls asleep to conserve battery life but you can easily wake it up with a tap of the center button. The left and right buttons allow you to cycle through the past days as well as through the modes I mentioned earlier.

The build quality is fantastic - it has a great smooth finish to it, and the buttons give a satisfying click. I don't know how long the included battery will last, but I'm guessing a long time given that the display is very rarely active.

My one feature I'd like would be the ability to plug in a USB cable and download a history of the stats taken over time.

Fun and easy to use.....
I have to give this a "thumbs up" as it is so easy to use. It took maybe a whole minute to get it up and running and it keeps up with your steps/calories/miles, etc....with ease. I can't attest to longevity since I've only had it a few weeks, but it's a great and handy item that reminds me to stay active.
Easy to use.....can help improve your health by reminding you to walk (or run).

Pink and Pretty Good
I've never used a pedometer before, and I found it fun to use and keep track of my steps. I was surprised at how far I walked on my test walk (a normal route). It's easy to use, and small enough to be handy. I also like the design and the plain yet pretty salmon color.

Comes with: The strap and clip, which are very useful; a screwdriver for accessing the battery compartment (that's also handy!), a battery (CR2032, not sure how easy that is to replace), and a short instruction manual.

Physical: It's a handy little pedometer, a couple inches tall, and I like the strap and clip. It might be practical to have a clip on the device so when you clip it you can at the same time prevent it from swinging around, but it's no problem, you can just tuck it in a pocket, belt, or in your pant line. It makes it very easy to carry around everywhere and measure every step you take!

Set-up: Pretty easy to set up. Enter your height, weight, the date, your stride, etc. It's kind of hard measuring my stride, I would rather it could say 'walk 10 steps' and calculate my stride for me -- but for competing against myself, setting my stride a little wrong is all right. It was a little hard finding a small thin object strong enough to press the reset button on the back, but it definitely won't be hit accidentally! (And once you set up, you really shouldn't need to change anything for a while.)
Note: Another reviewer recommends a toothpick (oh that I had one!).

Program: It shows you handy information such as miles/km, calories, and the time. Your steps reset every day (at midnight) so your stats are clear for each day. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but really all you need are a few figures so you can set goals and increase those goals, and this pedometer takes care of that in a simple and cute way.

I didn't know a pedomoter could be so useful!
When I first ordered this from the Vine program, I thought to myself, "Okay, it'll count the steps I take, but as much as I surf Online and knit, I really don't think it'll make a difference in how much I exercise." Boy, was I ever wrong. Not only am I "wasting steps" in order to get more exercise (I wear it all day), but I find that I'm parking further away from the door of the store (forcing myself to walk further). I didn't think it would make that much difference, but I've already doubled my mileage in just a few days. The first day, I walked about half a mile (doing what I always do). The second day, I took a mile-long walk, and "wasted steps" on purpose, and I was up to 2.4 miles (which means the wasted -- or extra -- steps I took added almost 1 ½ miles. I frequently find myself walking longer during my "stroll down the lane," and it doesn't seem to tire me out any more. As an added benefit, my floor is cleaner. I usually only vacuum once a week, but (in order to get more steps), I'm now vacuuming daily -- whether or not my floor needs it.

This does a lot more than I ever expected any pedometer to do. As the product's description states, this counts miles walked, steps taken, calories burned, one activity/exercise session), and it is VERY easy to figure out.

Just had to add one more thing I learned about this pedometer, which isn't in the product description. A month ago, I forgot to unclip it from my clothing before doing laundry. The pedometer was in the wash cycle for at least 15 minutes before I realized my error. I raced to the washer, grabbed the pedometer, and I held my breath as I pressed the "Mode" button. I just knew I had ruined it. Much to my surprise, the pedometer worked. I removed the battery cover to allow the insides to air dry, and there wasn't a drop of water inside. A month later, and my pedometer is still going strong. Of course, I don't recommend washing your pedometer the way I did mine (yours might not fair so well). But it's nice to know that this stand up to even my absentmindedness.

Since I've been using the Omron HJ-203, I've lost five pounds. Now, that isn't a lot, especially for six weeks. However, I haven't changed my diet in any way.
