Customer Reviews

SILENT pocket pedometer, liked it while it worked
I purchased this model because it was the only silent pedometer at my local store (most have a rolling ball that clicks and clacks, this one has a silent accelerometer). I like the small size and the rounded shape which made it fit well in the coin pocket of my jeans.

Step count seemed accurate to me. Unlike two other reviewers, I did not find it counting steps while holding it in my hand. While walking all over the place on a trip to Italy, at times I would wonder "could this be right?" so then I would count the next few hundred steps and check again, and it was always within a few steps of my count. So it was pretty handy to know how many miles I walked each day.

Unfortunately after a few days of use, the numbers on the display lost some of their line segments. I think this is probably my fault, because of the pressure it got while sitting in my pocket, because if I pressured the back of it or the front extra hard, those segments would show up. So I couldn't see the hundreds digit when checking the number of steps (I had to work backwards from mileage to determine the hundreds digit).

Unfortunately, it didn't survive the trip through the washer, my fault again. Now only a few line segments show up at all. I guess I should try opening it up and letting it dry out fully.

I will be looking for another silent pedometer, and would consider this one again (but I won't squish it in my pocket this time).

Total Junk
It seems to keep counting when you are not moving, like it is counting seconds or something. It is really expensive and is worth zero. I won't buy any more Sportline stuff.

Don't Buy this
No stars at all if possible. This pedometer proceeds to count steps while you are holding it in your hand!! Ridiculous and particularly disgusting since it costs more than the OMRON HJ112 which, in a word, is "perfect" in all ways.
