resets a little too easily
I am so frustrated! I usually wear a pedometer all day, every day. I bought this one to replace a different brand in which the screen display stopped working after 2 months. This one was priced just about right, so I bought two for the inevitable loss or breakage that comes with daily use.
This pedometer might be all right for a specific walk, but for daily use, it's useless. It resets itself frequently, so unless you are paying attention, you have no idea what your actual step count is. I cannot recommend this to anyone.

Bad steps
The pedometer is too sensitive to touch. Every time I would put my hand in pocket the meter would reset. Tried several ways to wear it but always the same RESET. I bought two of these. Would not buy anymore of these for anyone.

Totally worthless
I hate when products are poorly designed, and the problems are so obvious! Because the reset button is on the outside of the unit, is is incredibly easy to bump against it and reset the numbers-- thereby deleting any knowledge of all your hard work! Its also difficult to see, as from the user's view, the numbers are upside-down. Pedometers that flip open are much better. Check out this much better option: Model SW-200 Yamax® Digiwalker(tm) Pedometer. Very cheap, but mine has lasted me a long time.

Things that don't work
This pedometer not only counted my steps incorrectly, but it counted them when I was sleeping! Imagine my surprise when I woke up and found I had walked about 10 steps in my sleep. It also would reset itself all by itself, usually in the middle of a walk. There is no protective cover for that, there was no way to adjust for your stride. Cheap it as and well worth the cheap. I returned it. PS I also could not add any tags to this review. The program would not allow me to.

A good product gone bad and deceptively.
My former Sportline 330 was an excellent and 100% accurate instrument. This one is a totally different design and is useless. I never found out how accurate it is, because in the new design the reset button is in front of the device so you can't help but to accidentally reset it in the normal course of human motion. On the old one the reset button was inside its cover. This one has no cover. Useless. To add insult to injury, they don't tell you they changed the design, so it's a nasty little surprise when it arrives.

Sportline Pedometer
The pedometer is great for those interested in a healthy life style. It is easy to use and has all the features you may need, whether you walk or jog.

Works well but confusing to figure out
This one was a gift, I didn't choose it. That said, I don't use the clip for this pedometer. I learned with my last one that the clips are undependable. Instead I always just place it in my pocket. As long as the pedometer remains upright - which it does easily unless I put something else in the pocket with it - it works great. It is confusing as heck to figure out though. I leave mine in step/mile mode because I'm afraid that if I try to use another function, I won't be able to get it back to step/mile mode. It has occasionally switched to kilometers and I have no clue why. I assume I pressed the wrong button or held the middle one down too long. It was annoying and confusing trying to figure out how to get it back. Now I only press the middle long enough to reset it each morning. It may very well have many other nice features, but I'm not going to bother trying to find out. If I ever choose my own, I will research it to make sure it's in the "Pedometers for Dummies" category.

Stepping away from this one
This was my first pedometer. I don't like it for a couple of reasons. One, it simply is not accurate. One day I logged 13,000 steps on it. It did fine that day. The next day I ran on the treadmill for 3 miles, walked 2 and then walked my dog. Total distance measured by the end of the day was a little over 3 miles. That made me mad because I didn't get credit for what I had done. I log my runs in a trainers book and thought it would be neat to write down steps/distance at the bottom of each days page but I am not putting just any inaccurate number down. I use the log so that when I don't feel like running or get to feeling I haven't made progress, I can just look at my recordings and see all I have accomplished. I need that. This pedometer doesn't give me that.
My number 2 reason is that it simply isnt very comfortable to wear. I am slightly overweight but not by much and it digs into me when I sit down and I constantly would look down and notice it had come open. I think that if I were just walking and constantly wore jeans instead of a soft forgiving fabric like my work out pants it may just be a little more accurate. Of course that is just an opinion. I wonder if being on a treadmill changes its accuracy too due to the shock absorbtion. I wouldn't write this unit off but I do not think that it is right for my circumstances. I may try again with a different one but for now I will wear nothing at all.

Fell off, broke
The actual device was fine, but the clip is crap and it fell off and broke. It had fallen off before and survived, but there is no good way to attach a line to it to tie it to a belt-loop. After this one broke I bought another, a different model of the same brand, with a clip that is larger and seemed more secure. That one just fell off and is now lost somewhere along my hiking route. I give up. They are not cheap enough to keep buying. I wish I could find one of the very old ones that had a metal alligator clip and actually stayed on.
