Really Well Done!
This sensational die-cast vehicle, even has the dinosaur teeth on the front grill! Obviously this would appeal to fans of the three Toy Story movies but the detail is good enough that it also fits in nicely to any movie die-cast vehicle collector's collection. Or even dinosaur toy collector. The same unfortunately can't be said for all 8 vehicles released in this series. It seems that most of the design time or budget went into this one and the Tom Hanks voiced cowboy toy character Woody with Wheelin' Woody

Scales, different green colours, teeth, pretty much everything is on the body of the vehicle. In or out of the packaging this car displays great! If you are a leaver in packaging collector there is a nice little image of Rex in dinosaur form as seen in the movie in the bottom left hand corner of the blister pack. On the back of the card you can see all eight vehicles that were released. Interesting all have better wheels on the back then they do in real life and some such as Little Green Speedster representing those little green aliens is actually a different colour.

Size matters!
First of all, I had been looking everywhere for a Rex replica from the Toy Story movies. Sure, there are several 'versions' of Rex available but I have yet to find a replica from the one that appears in the movie (size and all) as there are replicas available of other characters (like Buzz or Woody for example)

When we found this one in Amazon we thought we had finally found it! After receiving it and opening it I can confirm the figure is highly detailed and well made and it really does justice to the character from the movie, this would be perfect but for one small problem: the size! it is actually a very small toy!

Yeah, pictures can be deceiving sometimes so I have added some pictures I took as a reference to the product description page in Amazon. It is indeed a deluxe figure and it's great as a collector item but not as a toy. We ended up getting a stuffed Rex that while not what we would have liked to give to our kid, it is larger sized than this one and more appropriate for a 3 year old.

As a collector item it does look great on the shelf next to the toy story movies!
